On July 7, 2001 it was a very hot night in Oklahoma City,OK. A very hot night for a rock concert. Who could heat things up and cool them down ? Only one classic rock group can think of. A blast from the past blew in from the great country of Canada. BTO roared in to Frontier City Amusement Park playing all their classic hits, from "Let It Ride" to "Taking Care Of Business". BTO did not slow down for one minute, in fact they had the Oklahoma crowd in the palm of their hand. Their sound was awesome and played just like yesteryear. CF Turner,Rob Bachman,Blair Thornton and Randy Murray had full control of the stage that night. You just had to be there to witness the energy and power these guys have. That is what still keeps BTO a powerhouse in classic rock music today. They are professionals at their best.
I had the honor of witnessing this great band with two of my friends Caron and David. As we sat way back on the hill we still had a great view of the guys. The people around us were chanting and singing along as we were also. It was a great night in which C.F. belted out the classic song "House of the Rising Sun" and Rob gave us one heck of a drum solo.
